Wow, what a great time we had last night in Warrenton, Tx at the Zapp Hall Antique Show. Ya know, it still holds true that folks in the country are super nice, laid back, and friendly. The band made lots of new friends including a cool dude named Reno from Banderas, Van Stacy and his group, and in particular, Moses Rangel. Moses was on stage doing his solo act before us. He has an amazing voice, a true gift! He joined the band to sing a couple of songs and it was fantastic. Checkered Past has been given the privilege and honor to be the musical entertainment for a benefit honoring a local legend, Coach Charlie Maiorana.  There will be silent auctions, raffles, door prizes, celebrity guests, and fajita dinner provided by Guadalajara Hacienda.  Please join us in honoring this living legend.  Starting at 3:00 PM.

Due to a minor (ok, we all know it's never minor) scheduling faux pas, Checkered Past will be playing at the Oz Bar instead of Masone's Bar & Grill on Saturday, October 24th.  We sincerely apologize to anyone who is affected by this change, especially to Masone's who was gracious enough to give us a chance to play there sight unseen.  We will still be at the Turtle Club this Saturday (10/17)!

Checkered Past unveils their new state-of-the-art sound system from Bose called the L1 loudspeaker system.  With this new system, you'll be able to hear the band more clearly than ever before and still be able to carry on a conversation!  Come hear the band and check out the Bose L1!

Checkered Past performed at the 3rd Annual Jim Pruett (KLOL) Charity Auction. Roxanne of "The Smoke Inn" on Jones Rd. along with Coaches Sports Bar & Grill teamed together to host the event.  On hand were celebrities such as Larry Dierker and Dan Pastorini.  A performance by a squad from the new Texan Cheerleaders rounded out the night.  The auction raised money to help with the S&P Ranch benefitting abused children and animals.  This was Checkered Past's second year to play this event.
